I suggested he write bug report on openSUSE-11.1, but I don't think that is what he wanted to hear when he asked for help from me. I recently purchased the M-Audio MobilePre USB interface that did not contain an installation disk and Audio-Technica headphones to go along with them and I am trying to configure the microphone on the headset to work on Skype and other audio recording software. MIDI doesnt matter, 1/4 inch and mic inputs do. almost bought the tascam for that reason, but havent yet. I read the specs but the pic didnt look like it had (2) 1/4', just like it had one. So there is something wrong with the hot plug automount of this USB mic under openSUSE Linux.īut I don't know enough about hal/udev, nor about USB audio devices to help him improve this. Windows device driver information for M-Audio Mobile Pre. mobilepre I looked at a picture for the m-audio mobilepre. Hence he has a work around, albeit its not a pleasant work around. He tried that, and in that case, the Mic does work on openSUSE-11.1. I suggested he reboot his PC to openSUSE-11.1 with the mic plugged in during boot.
#M audio mobilepre usb driver no sound drivers
Note however that there are not Windows 10 drivers as the device is discontinued and not getting driver updates anymore. When he inserts it in Ubuntu-9.0.2 it is recognized with a pop up and the mic works. Re: Where to get driver for M-Audio MobilePre USB for Windows 10 I believe this is the link for your device. He has a USB mic, and when he inserts it on openSUSE-11.1 there is no automount pop-up and it does not work. I'm exchanging emails with a friend, who has Ubuntu-9.0.2 w/KDE-4.3 (don't ask me how he got KDE-4.3 on Ubuntu-9.0.2) installed on one of his PCs, and also openSUSE-11.1 w/KDE-4.3. OpenSUSE documentation (and user guides) is weak in the area of USB audio, and its an area I do not know enough about to help. At least, my M-audio Mobile Pre started to work!Glad to read its working !
I just made auto-set up for it and then chosen my USB audio soundcard to be primary card.
